A robin landed on my fence this morning, it is a beautiful sign of Spring, one I needed. This winter has been fierce with cold temperatures and record-breaking snowfalls.

I'm over it.

Ever been in one of those seasons and you're over it? You can't wait for it to end and the new one to begin?

It's hard not to grumble and complain when our heart is tired of the current season and we eagerly anticipate the next one. Isn't it.

Just this morning, I stood in the shower and had a very raw conversation with the Lord.

I reminded him (as if he needs reminding), that the last few years have been hard, there have been things I've been contending for and, frankly, I'm tired of plowing and planting and not seeing a harvest. Of watching the seeds just die in the ground. I'm tired of the wilderness and its barrenness.

I'm over it.

Yet I declare. I will see the promises of the Lord!

And then I remind him what those promises are; as if he didn't know.

Then, of course, God speaks to my heart right there in the shower, in my vulnerable ... well ... nakedness.

He brings to mind this verse, "The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone...Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, 'There is change in the air.' Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now, is the time to arise and come away with me." (Song of Songs 2:11,13 TPT)

I stood there and cried as the water from the showerhead washed over me.

I felt heard.

I felt seen.

And then the robin, the sign that winter IS over.

Sometimes we need to see it don't we, the signs things have shifted. We need the early signs that his purposes and plans are bursting forth. Are you there too?

Well, I want to pray for you today.

Father God, I thank you for the signs of Spring this week. I thank you for reminding us the barren winter is over. I declare that you have given us eyes to SEE this new day of destiny is breaking around us. I thank you for letting us SMELL the fragrance of the flowers, that we can FEEL the change in the air. Thank you, God, for seeing us, hearing us, and speaking encouragement to us. I thank you that your purposes and plans for us are bursting forth.  I thank you for the signs of spring, that they are reminders for us. God, I release this discernment today, I decree you are showing your signs of change in the air. We declare that our barren winter is OVER and the new day of destiny you have for us is bursting forth.  Amen!
